Itinerary

Day 1 : Tizi n’Tichka

First you cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass of the High Atlas mountains. You then travel through several Berber villages, and once in the desert, the riverside oasis and barren hillsides are clustered with Kasbahs. Day 2 :Todra Gorge

After breakfast you drive to Todra Gorge and after a short stop you continue to “Auberge du Sud” at the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You then ride camels into the dunes, and after witnessing a beautiful sunset you can enjoy a fantastic dinner and then spend the night under the stars in Berber tents.

Day 3 :Erg Chebbi

After viewing the most beautiful sunrise and having breakfast at the camp site you will ride camels back to the Auberge. Drive back to Marrakech, again via Tichka pass. You will arrive in Marrakech early in the afternoon.

FAQ

Is it possible to bring luggage to the desert tour? How is it stored?

You can bring luggage to the group or private desert tours. It’s a good idea to have that luggage in the form of a backpack, as you can travel with it around, you can even take it on the camel as you reach the desert camp. Your remaining luggage will be in your Zagora vehicle or in Merzouga at the operator lodge.

Can I customize a tour?

Yes, you can do that, but you will have to work closely with our team to do that.

When can I book such a tour at the earliest?

You can feel free to do that as early as possible, especially for peak seasons like October, April and December. Check often and you can get some really impressive results.

Is it possible to attend the tour as a vegan or vegetarian?

Yes, the only issue will be with gluten free foods, as there aren’t a lot of them in Morocco, so you may have to bring in your own which is quite the challenge. Most of the meals will be halal meals only, but you can choose other options.
