Kasbah Sahara & Fes

Kasbah a fascinating building that represents the architecture of South Morocco.  The kasbah is a fortified building built with local materials making it perfectly adapted to the climate. It also played a defensive role thanks to its walls, it reflected the political and social structures of the groups.

It is usually isolated yet located on a dominant position, it is a Majestic fortress of ocher earth, with a watchtower in order to monitor the valleys.

The most beautiful part of a Kasbah is its upper parts which are decorated with Berber geometrical patterns, that we can find also in jewelry, carpets, and tattoos worn by women.

The rose valley
